BEAUMONT, TX – Police are investigating an incident involving a semi truck that veered off the road, crossed a major street, then went down an embankment and up a hill before crashing on Wednesday morning, KFDM reports.
According to authorities, the truck veered off of I-10 near Pine Street around 4:24 am.
The driver was transported to local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police do not believe the driver fell asleep behind the wheel prior to the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
