Driver Killed in Collision Involving Semi Truck at State Highway 137 Intersection in Glasscock County

GLASSCOCK COUNTY, TX – A person was killed in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi truck southeast of Midland on Thursday night, NewsWest9 reports.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision occurred at the intersection of State Highway 137 and FM 2401 around 7:15 pm. The driver of a Dodge Ram allegedly ran a stop sign and collided with a Mack Pinnacle semi truck hauling a trailer.

The driver of the pickup, 42-year-old Joseph Wayne Summers of Blanchard, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi truck driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital.
