SMITH COUNTY, TX – Two people were hospitalized after a collision on Interstate 20 caused a semi-truck to catch fire last Saturday, KLTV reports.
According to authorities, the accident occurred near Jim Hogg Road after the semi-truck ran off the road and erupted in flames. The fire eventually spread to a wooded area.
Firefighters responded to the scene and quickly contained the flames.
The extent of the victim’s injuries is not clear at this time.
