EL PASO, TX – A young woman is dead following a collision with a semi-truck that happened northwest of El Paso yesterday morning.
KFOX reports that the woman rear-ended the truck in the 900 block of Artcraft Road, close to its intersection with Westside Drive.
Authorities say her 2015 Nissan Sentra was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision, which wedged the vehicle beneath the truck’s trailer.
The El Paso Police Department identified the woman as Brissa Celestte Rodriguez, a 23-year-old resident of New Mexico.
The crash, which marks the city’s 19th traffic this year, remains under investigation.
