HOUSTON, TX – A car-carrier truck burst into flames on southbound I-69 near Lee Road this morning, affecting traffic in the area.
ABC 13 says the incident happened shortly before 6 a.m. on May 29.
Footage taken from the scene appears to show heavy fire damage to the car carrier’s cab as well as a pickup stacked atop it. Several other vehicles loaded onto the truck also appear to have been damaged.
We do not know what started the fire or whether it injured anyone at this time. We will update our blog if we learn more details.
For now, drivers should continue to avoid the area if possible.
