HOUSTON, TX – Five people were hospitalized following a semi accident that also closed down westbound 290 in the Jersey City area, ABC 13 reports.
A semi truck hauling wooden pallets overturned near Eldridge Parkway sometime prior to 3:44 p.m. Affected lanes did not reopen until about 6:30 p.m.
A spokesperson for the Cy-Fair Fire Department said five people received transport to area hospitals but were expected to recover. Hazmat crews came to the scene to deal with a fuel spill.
