Gas Tanker Crashes, Catches Fire near Fort Worth Gas Station

FORT WORTH, TX – A gas tanker crashed near a gas station and caught fire early Sunday morning, CBS Texas reports.

According to authorities, the incident occurred near a Valero station on Trinity Boulevard just off Texas 360 around 1 am. The gas tanker collided with a passenger vehicle, knocking over power lines and causing a fire.

The Fort Worth Fire Department worked for hours to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to the gas station. The fire was finally extinguished and crews left the scene around 7 am.

The tanker driver was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
