SAN ANTONIO, TX – A semi-vs.-sedan accident in San Antonio sent a man to an area hospital with critical injuries, KENS 5 reports.
The San Antonio Police Department reports that the collision happened on New Laredo Highway/TX-353 shortly after 5:30 p.m. last Friday.
A semi-truck was headed northeast when the vehicle ahead of it slowed for traffic ahead in the highway’s 9000 block. The semi’s driver may have been following that vehicle too closely, as he was unable to bring the vehicle to stop in time. Instead, the semi swerved into the oncoming lanes and collided with a southwest-bound Honda.
Emergency responders rushed the Honda’s 22-year-old driver to an area hospital with critical injuries. We do not know his current condition.
Police say that the semi’s driver cooperated with their investigation. It is unclear whether he will face any charges for the accident.
